So which is best then for unsynch. Resistance materia or secondary stat. Here's what I've been thinking since the mentality of pvp is different that of pve, I'm thinking of doing skill speed spec. I just wonder if I can get my gcd bellow 2 sec. Either ss and det ir ss and crit
Also how about that helm that gives u +5 to all resistance is that good?
Personally, I'm always of the mind "Do one thing, and do it well." If you're playing PvP as a DPS class, do whatever you can to make sure you're an unstoppable engine of destruction. Leave the survivability, even your own, to the healers and your defensive cooldowns - just hit things, reliably and hard.
Given that stance on things, I don't recommend using items or melds that increase your defenses against damage, as I believe that helm of yours does, if it means losing damage potential. Instead, focus on things that will raise your damage, increase your uptime, or both.
You could meld for straight damage stats, or you could also meld for resistances to things that hinder your damage such as Sleep or Root (or whatever it's called in this game). Either one will work. However, I would lean toward melding for your main offensive Attribute and Crit/Det, as those will always help you do more damage. If you meld for resistances, you run the risk of wasted stats when you happen to run into a group of enemies that doesn't even have whatever you're resistant to. That Sleep resistance isn't helping much against someone without Sleep, you know?
I would avoid Skill Speed in PvP. To be frank, it probably won't help you all too much. Usefulness of stats like Skill Speed are dependent on your uptime in a fight. In PvP, you will never have a ton of uptime. Given that, you want to ensure that the hits you DO get to land make a big difference. Both Crit and Det can aid in this, as can your main Attribute.
Awesome ty for ur input
