I think it is going to be a lot like how Monster Hunter works. That is... Online but not an MMO, also its not just for Wii, it is also for WiiU, and the WiiU will be an upgraded version but share the same content.Quote:

Dragon Quest X seems like it will be along the same lines at Dragon Quest IX, in the co-op part, but more like Phantasy Star Online/Universe as well...... Still a bit hard to tell at this point. As for "JP onry" I really wish people would quit with those types of comments, they are of bad taste and childish.
For the longest we had DQ 1/2/3/6/7/8 in English, then they remade 4/5/6 on DS and gave them to us, now we have all 9 DQ games in English, it is a bit silly to think that we wont get this one.
For the record I will be getting the Wii U version, if I get it that is, I will wait and see what it will turn out to be in the end.
DQ games always go to the more popular JP consoles for more money/so more people can play them. It's why 9 was on DS in the first place.

Oh and this also confirms those rumor's pre FFXIV announcement from the SE employee that got fired and then blabbed that they were working on a DQ MMO. Again this article was back in like 2007 so I am not going to find it, but now we know. just as FFXI: online was ps2 DQX: online (as per title) is going Wii and WiiU.
