Why would the dragons ally with Ul'dah? That makes no sense whatsoever.

It's possible that Lolo is in bed with the Garleans though, could also be Ascians.... Since it's always Ascians. Ilberd might actually be an Ascian for all we know, that dude seemed awfully juiced.

There's also the brass blade is just in front of the Flames GC, he says he has to arrest Scions, but is confused why they would arrest the saviors of the country. So not all Brass Blades are corrupt, like the little lalacaptain at Horizon. He fought his ex captain who was corrupt during the Uldah pre 15 storyline.

There won't be a "civil" war within Eorzea; that's entirely why Merlwyb and Kan-E-Senna left when they did. If they had stayed they may have intervened in Ul'dahn politics, and that would lead to a "civil" war within Eorzea.

The Monetarists never believed the Scions were responsible for Nanamo's death; they simply framed them to use them as scapegoats. Not only would this shift blame off themselves, but it would also remove the Scions from the picture, when they've been a thorn in the Monetarists' side for quite some time. Same for Raubahn.

Ul'dah is not allied with the Dravanians or Garleans; the Monetarists, or really just Lolorito at this point, are simply out for power. The point wasn't to destroy the Alliance but to consolidate power within Ul'dah and pave the way for Omega's excavation.

From a legal standpoint, we're enemies of the state, but if you talk to NPCs they either have heard only vague rumors or refuse to believe you're responsible. Talking to Commander Swift has him tell you they're withholding information on the incident, so it's not surprising.

The Flames will probably be led by Marshal Tarupin while Raubahn's in prison.

Killing Alphinaud would not advance their mastermind's goals, since he has no political power or authority in Ul'dah. There's simply no reason to kill him; if he's imprisoned he can no longer meddle with their plans, so that's enough. Having the Scions framed for Nanamo's murder is enough to give them grounds to detain / imprison them all; why risk the civil war?

One death is an unfortunate "accident." Two and people will start to get suspicious. Three and they'll know something's wrong. While killing the Scions and Raubahn makes logical sense, it could have pushed the tension in Ul'dah past the breaking point and sparked civil war.

From a legal standpoint, much like Ul'dah yes, Revenant's Toll is now hostile. However talking to the NPCs shows that like in Ul'dah they either don't believe you're responsible for Nanamo's death or have heard only vague rumors. Or, like the Crystal Brave in front of the market, are about to pee their pants at the sight of you.

nope. Monetarists just used us as a scapegoat to kill nanamo. Had Raubahn not moved, he would have been free to go. Though relations with Gridania and Limsa will be hard for a long time.

Pipin removed us from the "Wanted criminals" list. Also, the word hasn't spread that Nanamo was killed. For all the Ul'dahns know, she's badly sick. The people still see us as the WoL who saved the day.
The IF are just in need of a leader, all the rest is left untouched.

Because there was no need to. Alphinaud has no power over them and they killed all their opponents within their ranks, or close to (a few of them remain alive iirc)

Nope. The world hasn't faced destruction on a large scale. It was just a petty fight at a city-scale. Nothing noteworthy compared to Dalamud of the White/Black magic war.

I don't think that's entirely true. I'm fairly convinced Lolorito set up everything; Teledji really was innocent, but because he has such a love for gloating, Lolorito used that and Raubahn's long-simmering rage to his advantage to get Teledji taken out of the picture. This gets Teledji and Raubahn out of the picture, leaving Lolorito as the (seeming) sole authority figure in Ul'dah.

So he gets everything, and we were all just puppets in his game. Nanamo, Raubahn, Teledji, the Crystal Braves, the Brass Blades, and you... all just devices for him to use to usurp power in Ul'dah.
