Ah, I remember that. Good times. I remember thinking some stairs were never meant to be climbed when I first came upon them, and being shocked when I saw a mithra dash up them with ease.

Spinning off from this idea, wouldn't it be cool if different races had different environmental advantages or disadvantages? Like maybe Roes can climb big cliffs that shorter races have to walk around. Miqote could run faster. Lalafell could get less agro. I dunno about the others... But something like that would be cool.

Do you mean like on Super Mario Bros. 2? Luigi jumps really high, Toad picks up plants really fast and Peach can hover. I'm not meaning our characters should hover though. =)

How rude... Toad could pick up plants the fastest.. he was the man at getting the most coins in the dark world to be used in the end of level slot machine.....
And Luigi didn't run fast.... he jumped the highest...

Yeah, sorta like that, but...other stuff. They may even be given disadvantages, like Lalafell are so short they have to walk around more obstacles than taller races, Roes may run slower. Maybe Hyur are the middleground of having no advatages nor disadvantages.
