Only about 25% of it, really, considering the 1-30 content goes by faster than the stuff afterwards.

And I do agree that leveling is fun and part of the game... but by the time the expansion hits, I'll have already pretty much memorized all the 1-30 content available backwards, forwards, sideways, slantways and crossways. There won't be side quests to do, since I already did them all leveling my other classes. It'll just be the grind. I don't mind skipping that part, and it saves the devs from having to come up with new low level areas to keep things fresh in.

I mean, I'm sorry to hear that you feel that way. But as stated, this is a fair compromise - for both parties. Those who don't want to level 1-50 have had a part of the grind cut out and will start the leveling at a point where it's not mind-numbing tedium. Those who wanted the full 1-50 experience get the benefit of leveling in it. It's a very fair and equitable middle-ground.

You still get the level up experience. before this announcement we knew we had to be level 30 in a job/class anyways. At least we know our levels won't go back to 1 or 15 . You get new job at 30, you start at 30 and the cap is at 60 now so thats more than the normal job leveling of 30-50.

Don't worry! Tam-Tara and Toto-rak will continue to be the most common Low Level Roulette dungeons :)

Heavensward jobs don't open until new expansion area if you haven't figured out how to play 1-30 by then your doing something wrong.

Also FF11 new jobs always based around 30, it's not new if you know what your doing. EMBRACE THY LOVE.

We've only got 30-MAX for the other Jobs, I don't see why it would change for the new Jobs.

i remember leveling up scholar was very weird
want to be a healer? do 30 lv of DPS first then you become a healer... Yay...
glad we start straight away with Jobs

So do we need to complete all the main story quest before we have access to the new jobs?
