Swimming

I'm still holding out for my own sailboat. Archeage did a lot wrong but the personal sailboats you could get with customizable sails were awesome.

I always thought that fisher would have a harpoon kind of sub-weapon which will allow him to hunt other kind of fishes or probably fish several small ones on one stroke. Probably he can go underwater and fish with some kind of harpoon XD

Spearfishing was in 1.0. Pretty sure most of what you could get were things like toads and stuff that are now part of botany.

It was in FFXIV 1.0 >_< Spearfishing

Really wish we could have it back.. most of fishing spots are in such shallow waters (Tangle, Agelyss River, Rogue River, The Salt Strand etc...), using a rod makes absolutely no sense...

I have a feeling we will go to Sea next (but expect it more like XI's Sea). Wherein its like a sunken, barrier protected landmass like Atlantis or something.

I find it extremely ridiculous that we can still not swim ingame yet....

Spearfishing is where I got my title, Of the Desert Pools (and more).
I miss it a lot. Was a lot like other gathering classes. Regular fishing is so boring.


As for Swimming, I wouldn't say no to it. Though even if implemented, I highly suspect limitations on it would lead to more complaints than just never bothering. :(

That's rough choppy magic water though. I'd love to have swimming be available though.

They said in an interview that they chose between swimming and flying for the first expansion, so i would expect swimming in the second one.
