Information on the battle system for Heavensward set for May's Live letter?

I'm hoping for stat tweaks to make the bad stats (most notably skill/spell speed and parry) better. Could probably include some tidbits about class changes (new abilities, old ability balancing) which would be nice. I also hope they do a mini patch a few weeks before the expansion with the battle system changes so we can learn the new stuff before the expansion itself (much like what Blizzard has done with WoW expansion).

I expect some pretty decent changes to happen. As they are reworking Smn/Sch and giving new abilities and traits to all classes. Sure many tweaks will happen to.

Why does SCH need a rework?
You mean the separate attributes?

Yoshi-P has basically said that he's not married to the current armory system, and he hinted at changes. Will be interesting to see what's announced.

We've never had any confirmation of a rework of SMN or SCH; this has only ever been fan speculation based on comments from Yoshi. The only thing we know to be coming for SMN is a new skill that will change the way they handle MP management as Yoshi revealed that in response to the recent MP issues the job has been suffering from. SCH is arguably in a very good place at the moment though so any further changes to SMN need to be done in a way that won't impact SCH... which is where the speculation on the jobs being split came from, especially given Yoshi's other comments regarding planned changes to the armoury system.

At the very least, we should see some new Egi's from the expansion. I just hope they are as adorable as the ones we already have. I can picture Ramuh being a cloud like beard that shoots lightning.

Speaking of lightning, didnt they say something about a rework of the BLM to make it a more varied job by changing how thunder works?

Well as they said it was the only double job in game and it was not a good idea in the first place (as i said) Why would u not expect them to separate them? I know most stuff is not 100% till it comes out and even they things can change after it placed in game. Would just feel odd leaving them as is in game. But we will see soon.
