2.55 Spoilers: Thancred

Uh, no. Thancred's been hitting on F'lhaminn since 1.0 - and that continued int 2.0 once she reappeared. She's turned him down every time. Pretty sure Minfilia was like 12 the first time Thancred met her... that's creepy.

Thancred hits on pretty much anything that moves, that doesn't count =P

Also, let's not forget that when he was shown to be Lahabrea, Minfilia was the one who took it harder than everybody else.

I've always gotten the big brother vibe from Minfilia to Thancred, and vice versa. He's got well over a decade on her, age-wise (she's early 20s at most) and again.... he spent a lot of 1.0 hitting on her adopted mom.

I'm 12 years older than my fiancée. Your point is moot =P

Also, like I said, Thancred hits on pretty much everything, that he tried something to F'lhaminn don't say much.
I think he saying MINFILIA'S name at his (thought to be) last moment says a lot. If he died or not at that moment is irrelevant, he CLEARLY thought he's about to die, and Minfilia's the person he remembered. Also, the way they parted at the tunnel says a lot.

Thancred is really more of a uncle/father/big brother figure to Minfilia. He helped save her and had parts in raising her after her father died (though as the Tales From the Calamity points out, he drifted in and out of her life for years). I have no doubt that he loves her, but it's more so a familial love.

I totally see him being Minfilia's first, unrequited love. Like an adolescent crush you have on an older guy, specially since she was in a fragile moment. Maybe she never had the courage to tell him that, maybe she secretly loves him to this day. The way she was when he got posessed by Lahabrea made it pretty clear her feelings toward him are not the same as she feels about, let's say, F'lhaminn.

Thancred seems to be mid 20's if I had to guess.

She said "Sorry, Mihtra", referring to her sister who's the SMN job quests giver.

and that's EXACTLY my point. Even if he's not dead, at that moment he thinks he'll die. And who does she think about? Minfilia. Not Yshtola, not F'lhaminn, not any of the skanks he hits on in a daily basis. Minfilia.

If there's anyone that could keep Thancred in his place it's Y'shtola.

She watches him like a bemused predator watches prey.
