Okay this starts to get really frustrating....

God forbid you have to work for it and then get loot. MMO's now are all "I want it and i want it now!". Honestly i just enjoy the journey and then when the loot finally drops there is that nervousness of getting a bad roll and when you roll high and loot it that feels awesome.

I feel like players in this game are too entitled and whiny. God knows what they'll change the loot system to i guess everything will be made easier to shut people up and we can all farm tokens forever.

Hell I've been in raid statics in games where loot distribution is decided beforehand and i see something i need drop but another person is on the list before me so they get it. I was just happy for them since we were all in it together struggling and banging our heads against the wall playing to learn raids and get loot. Lot of other people in raids sometimes it's just their turn and you need to wait yours.

There is a significant difference between doing different, difficult tasks to obtain X reward, and doing the same, easy dungeon over and over until the reward happens to finally drop whenever it decides to.

Correct. No half decent video game is going to hand you a permanent upgrade to your class without some sort of expense on your part.

First dungeon chest: oh hey, 8 drops, and they are the same 8 versions my 8 party members need. Now I will never have a reason to run this dungeon again. Uh.

Welcome to the No gear club. I been trying for the caster robe for over 4 weeks (i do a few wod runs per night) and ALL that ever drops is bard or Ninja gear.
Last week it was it was Bard, Monk gear and it has been 3 weeks now i get no gear from wod. Rng is a real ___
Honestly if wod gear was meant as a filler until one gets better gear it is a big fail, i now have the augmented robe for blm so .... yeah
Heck now i just run wod for the weekly quest, it is enough having to deal with horrible players and to spam it in hopes of 0.000001% gear may drop, not worth the agrevation.

That argument would hold water if you weren't running the exact same easy dungeon, with no difference other than party comp, over.. and over.. and over.. and over for that one piece of loot that you don't even really need outside of vanity. Coil, of course, is different as it gives you the highest tier loot... but then they gate it by a weekly lockout, and RNG... so it becomes a difficult dungeon you can do once a week for the chance at maybe getting better gear. There is a reason they're changing that system, y'know. :V

nobody knows yet whats gonna happen all yoschi said was that he CONSIDERS to do SOMETHING. all i take for myself is : if they dont reduce RNG on weekly loot i am done -.- playing coil is getting frustrating when your gear is never showing up.

It somehow knows how to screw us individually in our own ways. I went for weeks with no DRG gear dropping, and saw tank sets drop over and over. Ended up getting caster robe and shoes for my SMN and BLM instead via Greed so I wouldn't miss my weekly allotment.

At 20 runs in it would have been faster to learn how to do T13 and get the relatively common chest from there (1/7 drop rate).

They are experts in making me flip tables.

Strange on how the drops for your class doesn't drop, and gear drops for everything outside of the class you que the raid for drops abundantly. I've been running WoD for caster gear, and they rarely dropped, or of course, I roll less than 30 and the over-geared fashionista wins it. After that, I gave up and decided to run as ninja to get ninja gear. and low and behold, caster gear started raining for all those casters with no caster in party and not a single ninja gear dropped. Sometimes I feel the drop rate of gear for your class gets lowered, just so you will run the dungeon more often, therefore making you subscribe longer. It makes me think that if it was fair ground, I wouldn't be so bitter about the RNG system and not notice how so many other people were able to nab 2-3 gears (because this happened to a newbie tank in my last party) because for some reason, RNG is like a bed of roses to them.

They probably also got a Mercedes from mom and dad at the age of 14, gets a new car every year for free, goes travelling to another country to party twice a year, live in a penthouse they don't pay for, and gets a $1000/week, not working a day in their lives.
