Is not. People seeing good-looking stuff and wanting it here.
You should not go under the assumption that the system's proportions of jobs will be the playerbase's proportions of said jobs.
You won't be able to start the game with 3.0 jobs. They're meant for people who completed 2.55 story arc. Thus there is no real need to have the 3 types to begin with. This solution just allows to add new gameplays in every role.
1) you're assuming a lot. People will level new jobs for abilities to grab if there are, story, cool-looking armor, then go back to their main. Eventually, I'd be surprised if more than 20% of the players end up maining the new jobs.
2) I'm not sure why adding a new tank is suddenly going to make them not "adventurers in need" anymore, as people still won't bother to take the tank duty and just go the lazy-ass dps route.
Don't take me wrong. DPS aren't all lazy people, far from it. But lazy people tend to go for DPS most of the time because you can perform horribly from a gameplay perspective and still succeed, while a shitty tank or healer will doom the group in most content. Gladfully, the last story trial will weed out a bit these people by forcing them to perform a decent job or by stopping them at 3.0's entrance because they can't get carried through.
