It's not possible yet. But characters are free, so you can just start a new character on every server, if you want. See which world you like best.

Switching servers would be nice.. I would go to the smallest pop server for when i wish to solo grind and not have to worry about there being enough mobs. ^^

I'm happy with my server, enough people for sure. Though I kind of wish they did what ffxi did with random servers and world-passes. Great way to keep it balanced.

it was pretty good in practice, but people hated it, made it very difficult to start the game together with friends because there was a chance that if you made your chars at the same time you could end up on different servers.

Bodhum may be one of the smaller severs, but we have a great community. Have you joined a linkshell? Most of your issues would go away if you had a core social base. I would recommend putting in an app at either Moogle Mayhem http://nova-linkshell.ffxivwebsites.com/home or Error 13001 http://error13001.co.cc/ Good people to be found at both. You will find may people who are willing to help (myself included). It's boring to be alone, join a group! According to ffxiv pro there are 21 shells currently who are recruiting.
