No jealousy, I have that barding too. I just seek something normal so that I don't look like I stole the chocobo from a circus.

This game needs a Type-0 tiein... So I vote a class 0 barding for choco.

But considering that you get Shiva's from materials acquired in an amphitheatre, the difference is quite not far off. But I'm really talking for all the bardings that we don't see used by NPCs.

I would much rather get my hands on a Summoner barding set before the rest of the primal sets. Having said that I suspect they already have concepts drawn up for both the other job bardings and the primal ones; it's probably just a matter of the artists having the time.

I don't think the Ice Barding is from a circus. The back of Lady Gaga's closet maybe, but not a circus.

More to your point though, I do agree that a plain barding would be nice, like the ones you see at Bentbranch stables. However, I doubt SE would do it since people tend to like barding that's flashy. I've found that across the majority of MMO's I've played, mounts and pets are a status symbol; something to show off in towns like holding up a sign that says, "Look at me, I'm awesome!" Barding is no different.
