Aha kind of reading and getting the basics, I should just go out and buy a ps4, and/or new comp at this point... I'm just beating a dead horse hoping for 25~30 fps and load times not to be 30sec~1min?

You should be fine. The specs say that you should have at least 20 gigs free for heavensward installation. It's that most people would install their OS onto the SSD because that's where the heart of the system is and tremendously speeds up your load times.
What budget are you on? You definitely need to pick up a new graphics card and processor. There's so many things that goes on behind getting parts for your PC, including taking precautions so your cpu has proper cooling and a decent lifespan.
Your intregrated gpu from the motherboard will suffice to run the game at medium, though i wouldn't xpect anything higher than 30. Your processor is definitely not up to snuff though, and that's causing the slow load times. I say this because this was exactly the same issue I had before when I was using a G3258 (and your i3 is technically stronger than my G3258). I ended up upgrading to an i7 and that pretty much allows my processor to keep up with my graphics card and what the game demands.
In the end, it really dependso n what you want. If you're going to get into PC gaming (playing other games aside for FFXIV, among other things), then it'd be a great investment to build your own PC.
Otherwise, are you going to play other PS4 games? Some people strictly picked up a PS4 so they can play MGS5 (me), but if you haveother games you want to play on the ps4, thats a good investment on its own. Just be mindful that you do need to purchase a PS4 version of ARR all over again, and the heavensward expansion for that.
Yes, if you have the possibility, do yourself a favour and buy a new pc. :)
It doesn't need to be a NASA machine and this game is optimised pretty well so some mid-end stuff will do just about fine. :)
I have AMD Radeon HD 6800, 8GB ram and AMD Phenom 965 4x 3,4GHZ and the game is running on 60FPS, everything on highest and the teleport times are around 5 - 10 (10 seconds in Mor Dhona) seconds with no SSD. This is not even mid end now I suppose.
Doing a quick reply thank (most) of you for your suggestions and comments ! Going to figure out whats the next step! For those looking for a quick well wth was the answer: My Processor is barely on par with the game, my graphics card is useless, the ram was alright, the SSD 60gigs can work but highly suggested to get a bigger capacity. Resolve new processor/Gcard/more ram could not hurt/ price-wise probly best to get a new comp or deal with crappy lag/load times.
I know this is an older thread but wanted to post the finish incase others were interested or in the same boat. I purchased a 60gig SSD drive... very cheap like 30 bucks, had to get a new power supply unit 450w spent 25 bucks, the one I had was 300w and limited me from putting a new graphics card in. After those two upgrades with the system I mentioned at the start of this thread my improvement were very very small like 3 to 5 more fps and loading times maybe 5 seconds decrease. However spent additional 70 dollars for a more up to date ( but crappy ) graphics card a Radeon R7 250. Fps went from 8 to 13 > 40 to 55 fps and zone load times are epic fast within 3 seconds. So anyone in a crunch here is my input and solution this noted I'm still upgrading my computer in a few months but this will get me by and into some towers without fear! ( Titan rematch on HM and EM H*LL YEAH! )
Dang... I know what to get when I get a new PC, then.
(I usually get like 12 fps, no lie, but it's good enough to play the game for me....best? god no. But I can wait to get funds to get a new computer with good specs, haha).
