Steam Users can't get Boxed CE?

activate the product code using the STEAM menu, don't see why that wouldn't work.

I bought it through Steam to try it out because it was on sale for $14.99. I figured for 15 bucks, why not try the game out for a month? If I didn't like it, it wouldn't be much of a loss. It just happened to turn out that I really loved it and ended up staying. As for the CE, I was gonna go digital anyway so it makes no nevermind to me.

@OP - Square isn't to blame for the physical CE not being compatible with Steam. That's like being mad that your PC edition isn't compatible with your PS4. Sure, they're both for PC but Steam is in essence a different platform.

It wouldn't work because SE needs to give Steam the list of all the CE keys for that. And they are not gonna do it.

If someone knows about this and has a source to confirm it it'd be great. The only things I've found, it could be interpreted either way.

Main reason not to use STEAM for games form companies like SE and Blizzard whom like to control the distribution of their games.
