Does anyone else miss boat rides from ffxi (espcially fishers?)

On the rare occasion you had a Sea Horror or Pirate attack and were a high enough level to fight them it could be fun, but it was generally a long, boring, unnecessary timesink that I could have done without.

Unleash the Kraken! Funny how Sea Horror could find you sometimes lol, probably chasing someone. Pirates and whales plus the birds flying by. Anyone remember how awesome Sanctuary of Z'tah was?

I miss them for the pirate battle. I was hoping they might add it in the future - or sky pirates considering heavensward.

Yeah, I miss them. Considering everything is done in Duty Finder and we have Teleports, just to have an airship or ship/ferry to sit on and watch the world go by would be nice.

Yes, but quick traveling is also nice.

The ride itself? Sure, I miss it. If you're too low level, you could hide down below if trouble struck and stay safe.

What I don't miss are the waits for it, since it operated on a very set schedule real time, so if you didn't catch the ferry, you were SOL for a while.

I miss them, too. Love them or hate them, they were still a part of the ffxi experience that most of us that played ffxi remember.

This game has so many beautiful locations that getting a chance to ride a ferry and see them from a new perspective and perhaps battle some pirates while you're at it sounds like an awesome idea to me. I hope the dev team puts some type of feature like this into the game at some point. And hey, put a train on those tracks in thanalan already :p

Yeah, but i didn't mind that as much. just made it a little more realistic. But i do miss the airship rides. I loved looking over the edge and watching the city get bigger as you approached. Was very cool.
