Except it's Miqo'te and not Miquo'te, and in Japanese it uses the katakana 'ko' which lends credence to this pronunciation.

My misspelling then :)
I actually haven't paid as much attention to the japanese postings as i should so I'm happy to make adjustments based on the katakana phonetics. Most of my pronunciation in this game favors japanese style rather than germanic/latin, but I like to draw from what I think would be the source material as well. So, since elezen are heavily french influenced (suggested by naming conventions, etc), I tend to grab words from french/japanese-french (which is a thing as japan was -extremely- popular in france during the po-mo/modernist period...and vice versa in japan, but i think about 15-20 year lag in popularity). So if I'm looking at elezen, i immediately think of words like 'eleve' or 'elysse' and say "ay-leh-zehn".
But I would be curious, and I should go look if I wasn't half asleep XD, if the katakana spelling uses e-re-ze-n.
