What should I do with old gear?

So how it works. Item A is old item with cool graphic. Item B is new item with MEH graphic. You buy/craft a prism of the appropriate type and grade, then you apply the old graphic to the new item. Sounds complicated lol.

Once you try it out, it's simpler than it sounds. Mostly just right click the item you want to attach a glamour to, it opens a window with all the available items you can attach the graphic to. Will tell you if you have the right prism or not, if you do, you click Ok and it's done.

My system:
If its better than your current gear wear it
If not
Keep it if it looks nice enough to glamor
If not
Check if you retainer gear is worst than it and give it to them if it is
If not
If it can be converted in materia spiritbond it and convert it
If not
Desynthesis it if you can, for rare craft mats
If not
Cash it in for GC seals
If not
Put it in the armor chest in the inn
If not
Sell it to a vendor
If not
Just discard it

Not really. The prism is an item that costs gil and it needed before you can glamor. It's sole use it to make glamoring an item cost gil.
