I was lucky to buy 3 stacks of undued woolen cloth at price 300 gil 8)
This allowed me to craft militia duckbills - it's No 2 easy craft after chocker i think - 1 leather + 1 cloth
Btw - fleece farms well too - good drops with many items.
My retainers help me to farm raptors sinew and i just farm hippo skins.
Black Alumen is easy to get 100, but Earth C. Puff i bought them.
Now, farming worms from gold ore node, i craft militia earrings, just switch black alumen for basilisk eggs harvesting.
Retainers can bring up to 30 crystals from 40min run.
I did all my tools over roughly a month. Did leves for all the items and a combination of ixali deliverance, maps and gc seals for moonstones. I found militia spinning wheels worked best for me, as hippogryph skins/leathers were very overpriced and when I tried farming them, the drop rate was attrocious. They take 2 spruce lumber (which i had plenty of from ltw desynth) and 2 cobalt rivets (cobalt ingots were not that expensive).
Shards. Manymany shards needed to make cobalt rivets.
I did a mix of Militia Bracelets, Chokers and Grinding Wheels.
Bracelets: 2 RG nuggets, 1 Basilisk Whetsone. Just a matter of the cost of the gold ore usually. When cheap enough, this worked great.
Chokers: Send out retainer to get the sinew. Only limited by # of hippo skin on the broker.
Grinding Wheels: DS nugget, Astral Rock (you can get 25 per day yourself), Spruce Lumber (for whatever reason, these were very cheap on the MB)
