Y'all are doing better than me. I didn't even think that Pacification was leeches/esuna-able. That's why I'm a PLD.

I don't bother asking for an ensuna/leeches or whatever. If the healer has time to waste a GCD on such a short debuff, they can use it for another stone 2 or a dot. Not to mention if you manage to get a weaponskill off right as it ends, your GCD and pacification effect can overlap, making the pacification effectively around 2.5-3 seconds long. I'm not going to worry too much about losing slightly more then one weapon skill worth of time.

But I really like berserk. I just love that if you Infuriate -> Heavy Swing -> Maim -> Heavy Swing -> Unchained/Berserk, you get +50% AP, Maim bonus, and no defiance penalty boost all at 20 seconds for massive threat generation. All the timing works great, and getting close to 1700 damage butcher blocks crits is awesome and lets me get full credit on an A-Rank even when I'm by myself.

The thing that annoys me is that if you precast Esuna/Leeches even by one microsecond too much, it won't have any effect at all. And if you wait till the debuff pops out, you'll only shave off around one GCD off of it =/ (Less if you're forced to wait for your GCD cos it had no effect >.< )
Sure, that GCD can be important sometimes, but not always, especially if there's MP left for Flash. I'll do my best to get rid of Pacify even without macros, if I notice it in time, but if the first Esuna/Leeches fails, I'm most likely not going to make another attempt ^^;

(Though on that note, I've had both lovely and not-so-lovely reactions... This one tank in Brayflox NM paused for a few seconds after the trash group was downed, and then we got the message "OMG did you just Esuna my Pacification? You did! I love you!" ♥
And this other tank with a macro who downed the group just as berserk wore off, and then berated me for not Leeching him during the five or six seconds it took us to run to the next group... -_- Thus further delaying the next pull by the time it took him to type that. That was just... What?)

As someone who heals a lot: those macros saying "Esuna me in 3 seconds" are the main reason I prefer to work with Paladins. Seriously, I can see the icon. I don't need to be told to remove it.

Useful as OT if you're not doing any tanking (so healers won't have a direct eye on you), otherwise yeah I agree.

I'm new to MMO, New to FF14, and new to tanking. Your controller setup video was very helpful.

just dont forget to bring the meat
tanking as war is all about dealing damage and self healing off of it
also, once you hit level 45 go back to george, get your artifact gear, its good and is one of the best looking sets in the game

I Just hit 45 last night and went to see george. Now I'm rocking some of that sweet, sweet warrior gear lol. I'm also going to stock pile some meat. Thanks for the tip.
