Dont sweat it, ifrit does more DPS than garuda anyway especially with the melee buffs.
I would only say use garuda if you are having major MP issues and everything else has failed.

I don't think Ifrit requires any more accuracy than Garuda. I've never had it miss with flank accuracy except for trying to smack Bennus/Gusts in the face.
afaik acc caps are same for all pets.
Hello goreailla. I mostly use Ifrit and would use him all of the time if it wasnt for OTHER players throwing fits and asking of Garuda (whom I hate). Anyways, I'm having problems beating Odin on Smn, anyone else having this same problem? I'm item level 116 with about 5500 in hp but I find it hard to stay alive for the fight. Don't worry, I'm moving out of the ALL AOES,it just seems to me that I don't have enough def. or Hp to win the fight. I've tried this fight on Bard and cleared it in one go. Any tips to help this Smn?
ps: Are Odins attacks split damage?
Maybe the healer isn't healing you? Or you're standing at the extreme of your range (to split up like the video says) and the healer's AOE heals aren't reaching you?
I only tried once and I haven't beaten it yet, either. The reason was specifically because the healer didn't heal me (like you, I didn't touch a single attack, aside from the ones that affect everybody and put DoTs on us).
