Vote Kicked Players Need To Be Penalized

It's irritating the whole, "Then kick me." when someone is trolling in a WoD or generally being terrible to other people. It was horrible in CT and it's a huge problem in WoD.

Even in DF SCoB, it's awful. People get upset over the wipes and then just afk or go offline and then come back in a few minutes and then get moody over not having been kicked.

Just leave. 30 minutes is nothing compared to the fighting and the time wasted otherwise. There is so much you can do otherwise in those 30 minutes. Hell, go Hunt or something. Just leave. Don't ask to be kicked because you wanna be awful and not get a penalty.

I really wish they could find a solution about the Vote Kick but I've been vote kicked in the past when it was someone else's fault. Having to eat a lock out penalty wouldn't be fair. Unfortunately, I do believe we're just kinda stuck with what we have now.

Didn't see much yelling, just people commenting. That aside. I have a couple hours to play each nite. I get into a dungeon doing a book. Someone wants their bud in there. They kick me and just happen to put harassment as the reason. I just lost half my play time to run the dungeon again to get my book done. Fair?

Because the proposed system would unfairly harm players just for being group with pre-mades who decide they don't like him/her, while people who currently troll the current system will probably end up doing the exact same thing anyways.

Worst idea ever. Vote kick abuse happens way to often for players to assign a penalty on other players. If players want to AFK or troll to demand vote kick in WoD and the like, report them to the GM and let the GM assign them the penalty.

I think there should be a vote kick count.
If you get vote kicked say 10 times in a week. You can't use duty finder till reset.

The point he is making is that regardless of the proposed system, the current system has serious flaws as well.

I see the flaws and potential of abuse of my initial proposal, but how about if I kick someone for harassment, I am forced to fill out a GM ticket? Or at least ASKED if I would like to fill out a ticket? I understand we can never know about the results of a specific investigation. However, I do want to see a Lodestone report every month on actions taken against accounts for harassment. We already have one for RMT activities why cant we get something similar in regards to player conduct?

Well first what you have added wasn't proposed by him, I'm just going off what your proposition was. That said, this atleast does seem better suited. Not filling out the ticket would probably mean no penalty for sure to the afflicted player, while ticket filled would, hopefully, mean action would be taken based on what you are saying? As for the actions taken on accounts for harassment, I am also fine with that.

The consequences of the current system being abused is what exactly? A troll being removed from the party or WoD as necessary for everyone to progress. If it let players assign penalties to other players by vote kick, what will happen is massive amounts of vote kick abuse by the trolls and it will be their favorite tool to troll other player. Just imagine 7 of them in WoD and, for lulz, vote kicking anyone that joins in progress. The unintended consequences of this would be terrible, the trolls will make it impossible to progress.

The problem of assigning penalty to players should be in the realm of the GMs. Players have the right to blacklist and avoid the trolls, but not assign penalties.

Your suggestion is flawed. Players can band up and kick someone for no reason, to avoid a player getting a loot etc. The player has done nothing wrong, but with your amazing suggestion, they should be penalized.
