Just a minor correction: at the moment, PIE has no effect on Magic Accuracy, which is a completely independant stat.
Everything else Coglin said was absolutely correct.

while that may be correct, I don't know either way, but its SUPPOSED to have an effect according to SE's lodestone post

why do my absorb spells and poison seem to miss so often? i mean scourge and banish NEVER miss, even when im grinding mobs 10-12 levels higher..
@ PIE not affecting magic accuracy. maybe it works on a different algorithm in terms of the magic resist. there could be two types of resistances, mob resist, and you physically missing the spell. Such as evade and miss.
Hard to answer that Fixy, because plain and simply, stats are brokern. They may work to some extent, but not properly. Although I an tell you one thing piety does do right, is modify the damage per tic of the DoT.
well i tested going from 30 pie to 60 pie and i did notice a slight increase in accuracy on level 39 mobs, my THM was 27 at the time. but with my proposition it would only matter if you are at the mobs level or very close to it, close enough that it wouldnt "evade"
well just read the blog with the piety/DoT chart....it has posted the exact amount of damage for both thm and conj dots per tic, as well as there damage when used out of class,as well as comparing the out of class to having the thm affinity trait. Once the test numbers were confirmed by the general public, it has basically become common knowledge.
Try it.....thats my best answer.....I know its true from my experience, and I suspect those who were claiming otherwise were the general forums types who like to claim there speculation as fact. Again though, everyone learns better from there own tries, test, and experience.
So i did what you said and i had about 30 int and my scourge was hitting for average 300-500 while sp farming Sordes 10-14 levels above me. after getting bored and dumping a full reassign into int, i was getting average of 450-750 scourges. Just a thought...
Thanks guys this info was very helpful!!
