It would! but we can still only glamour one set on each equipment so you never know with SE!

Yeah, would really need a gigantic blacklist for both.

No to 1v1 Duels... DCUO and SWTOR were ruined for me, because of idiots first challenge me to a duel, then when declined, they went out of their way to follow and keep pestering nonstop. The PVP system we have is fine... Don't want to be in Limsa Lominsa and have someone challenge for a duel >.<

Duels should not be allowed in any sanctuary, so having people follow you in limsa challenging you to a duel wouldn't happen.
There should be an option to automatically decline or block all duel challenges.

And if you're seriously still against it, add them to your blacklist. GG.


I seriously can't fathom the amount of content this community immediately says "no" to.
It's insanely ridiculous

1v1 duels aren't needed... if you want them, then there's other games with that sort of style. FFXIV doesn't need to follow the same path as other MMO's... Any 1v1 duel system will be open to abuse and people WILL find ways around blocks etc. Adding to blacklist... that seems to be the go to answer for everything nowadays. It shouldn't have to be.

For the record, this is the ONLY 'prospect' I have said 'no' to for XIV. It is NOT needed. Even in XI, there was Brenner and Ballista for PVP which worked well. In XIV we have one specific area for PVP and that's fine. The game is primarily PVE, NOT PVP... Dueling will just cause more aggravation for players who just want to PVE.

Duels should be similar as wolves den, but no rewards.. just for fun. Make 1v1 bracket there.

So tell me if I got this right.

Duels shouldn't be added because this game needs to be a special snowflake and not take good things from other games and if I disagree I should go play some other MMO

You are 100% right.

They are NOT needed.
But they would be a GREAT addition to the game, and add a lot to the PvP side of the game, which, believe or not, is a thing.
