Yes, Brayflox's all-night cheese shop is the suck... it stopped me running dungeons for almost a month when I was a new player, my first run through it sucked so bad. During that month, I leveled Armorsmith, so I could make HQ armor at the highest level I could wear, and I made sure the right-hand equipment was all the best I could get as well. When I went back in there, I did fine.

I still hate when it pops up in Duty Roulette, though.

Oh you made shiver there....
I'm start to do tanking, but mostly I will do it with my friends first before go to Finder.
Learn the mechanic and watch some vids.
But I'm not there yet so I can't say much.

Some general tanking tips (for the OP and those starting out tanking):

1) Be sure you know what MoBs are in groups before you pull - you'll see arrows between MoBs in a group.
2) If you notice your HP going a little low, pop some CDs.
3) Personally, before a group pull, I mark my targets so they know what MoB to focus DPS on in what order.

If you do that and use an occasional AoE to generate threat (or switch between targets with single-target enmity generation) you're doing pretty good for starting out.

I checked your gear on the loadstone and it is all over the place. You would be very squishy in dungeons. Make sure your jewelry is level appropriate, which right now is level 28, and it's primary stat is vitality. Right now you have some healer jewelry on, which doesn't help you. Also, try to choose armor that gives you the highest defense. Some of the tank gear is more dps oriented as dragoon shares some of the gear sets so just watch out for this.

Its not only the Gear.
Last Friday i was in Brüllvox with my lvl.34 Pld and got a lvl.32 Conjurer(not a WHM) Healer.
After i died the second Time on Yellow Pelican,i asked him for Cure II.
Answer:I dont have it.

We abandoned the Party after 5 Aiatar trys.No chance without Cure II.

Cure 2 is Level 30 CNJ. so he had it

It's not just a healer check. In Brayflox's the tank *does* need to be geared or even with the best healing gear, the tank just goes squish.

Someone already lodestone'd the OP so... OP, buy some whites from vendors that are your level or even see if you can find a nice crafter to make you some HQ gear. Now after that, it is on the healer to keep you alive.

you have to do the 30 cnj quest to get it

Another large factor for their reaction could be the fact that a lot of people still really like the Battle Mage set that drops from that dungeon and have long since forgotten what they "first time" is like after running it 50+ times in some cases lol. But that being said, it is one of first real challenges for healers and tanks as well as mentioned before.
