Cutscenes and timed instances

props for wanting to educate first timers =) though i'm sure the first timers are gonna be busy watching the cut scene to really concentrate hence forming battle plans before entering the instance.. i myself really cant say anything cause i haven't been able to do any dungeons yet hoping i will soon though

R25 dungeon isn't so bad, its only difficult if you are running it with other r25s, but that's what makes it fun. The R50 dungeon is an entirely different beast. It isn't as free-roaming as the r25 dungeon, but requires a linear strategy.

all in all, they are both achievable, but i tend to enjoy r25 dungeon more since that's how dungeons should be (Not talking about difficulty, just the overall experience and structure). R50 dungeon is a bit disappointing because the only way to have enough time to complete everything is to zerg the shit out of the first few maps. Yeah, fun right?

If anything, there needs an option to just auto-skip cutscene entirely.. it gets old really fast.

Maybe they should just not add any cut-scenes?

This really sucks for first-timers. I mean, I haven't even seen any cutscenes in the Darkhold yet and I've ran it 20+ times. I would really like to see them and take screenshots myself but I can't, because it would piss off the rest of my party.

if your party gets pissed off because you want to actually watch and read the story at least one time then maybe you should look at the people your partying with.. if they cant respect you wanting to watch the story that you are enjoying then they don't deserve your help with said dungeon.. yeah it sucks because its hard enough as is to find a group but you shouldn't have to deal with douche bags even though more often than not its inevitable..

Well its not like they are yelling or anything, but before entering, they ask that you skip the cut-scenes. The only thing that has really frustrated me in these parties is that most of it is all the same LS, and whenever an item drops, they see the claim as their own, even if it drops under mine. I could have had a Revolutionaries Bliaud, but decided i'd give it to the Gladiator since he claimed "I have a CON and THM at 50."

People got pissed and claimed they would report my character name on some endgame website if i didnt give them my Bladedancer's Boots. I decided to keep them anyways, and argued that if they continued to be idiots, i would manually disconnect form the dungeon and find a different party.

yeah just because your in a LS group doesn't give you the right to ALL of the drops.. how much you wanna bet that most of the people in that LS were whinny teenagers and that "I have a CON and THM at 50" was just so they can get the item to sell for 999999999999999999 in the wards just to hang over everyones heads and say "haha look what i got!" (which is a HUGE pet peve of mine) /sigh i hate dealing with douche bags..

Definitely support the option to have the timer start as soon as the last person is finished with their cutscene. I can understand some folks like to rush or don't want to watch a scene again and again, but I've always disliked it when people pressured folks to just skip if, even if it's their first time watching it. But it could all be solved if SE just simply did as you've all suggested.

I've never understood this and still don't. What do you mean by "zerging" everything? Attack the enemy with full force? What's the alternative? Have people stand around waiting, like for procs in FFXI's Abyssea NMs? I don't know about you, but I'd rather be hitting stuff than standing around and waiting.

yeah i don't understand the whole "zerg" thing, whenever i hear that i'm reminded of star craft lol
