Buff Blizzard 2 for BLM

I actually have to agree. In PvE, which is what these abilities should have been made for firstly, is almost absolutely pointless. Like, I can't remember a single instance in which I used it.

I also agree about Freeze. I've rarely used Freeze outside of PvP, if any at all. I've always thought Freeze should leave a Frostbite circle underneath the location that does low DPS and applies heavy on enemies in the Frostbite circle.

lol. Blizzard 2 once was 100 potency. it was dropped way back I think around 2.1 or 2.2. People use to spam it in FATES and it's a cross class skill to summoner and scholar so we wouldn't want them to bane dots followed by spamming blizz 2 for 100 potency instead of ruin for 80.

Simple fix: let THM/BLM keep the original version.

The only place where I use this spell is on FATE :D

Yes. This thread should be about Freeze and its almost total uselessness. Not sure what they were thinking with this spell's long casting time, low potency, and highly situational/easily broken crowd control.

I can't speak for all functioning blind but this spell is a staple in my AoE rotation.
After all the flares have been dispensed and your target is at 5% hp do you wanna risk casting a blizz 3 when it will most likely die before the cast gets off? I just run up and pump out 2 of the blizz 2 casts and move back to my spot to continue my rotation. It doesn't need a target to be cast so it's perfect for quick guaranteed rotation continuity. And yah it doesn't do nominal damage but your hitting 3-4 or more targets it's certainly viable.

What trait would you give up for this? Enhanced Surecast? Hm. That could work. You know, if it was actually a big deal.

Blizzard II is like One Ill Punch. You'll never use it in PvE except fates. You'll use it in PvP.

I find it useful when doing alexandrite maps for the adds that spawn when you're fighting the Cyclops (I forget his name). Keeps those little bastards in place until you can get to safety and blow them the hell up.

Blizzard 2 is fine the way it is, it does have it's uses.

We don't need more AoE DPS, it's about right as it is in my opinion. (and I main BLM)
