Hunts becoming popular again?

On gilgamesh they kind of died out quickly, they were dropping poetics unless they were an S rank and most people were working on T10-13 content. I'd say though about a month or so ago hunts started picking up again on gilgamesh but this will bring them back in force I'm guessing.

Glad I didn't spend any of my seals. Looks like the new mark logs are the same price. Wonder if the exchange rate is the same (2:1 and 3:1). Then again, there are all those new crafting materials to buy as well that are likely for some new crafting turn in and I'm out of GC seals from catching up on master books :/

I'll leave the A's and S' ranks to the Zurgs that like to destroy server connections. Hunt marks have always only mean one thing for me: Glamour Gear. Not worried about stressing myself out pushing towards upgrading a set of gear that will be obsolete come three months.

There's going to be massive gear reset coming on the horizon. People want to go do that for fun, I say let them. I'll get my due in time. I'll pick up on the elite hunts more if/when they add more substantial changes to the system, so they're not as overcrowded. My original idea for hunts were more similar to the way Guildhests are, except out in the open world: Monsters with interesting behaviors that groups no larger than 8 go after. Balmung strains under the participation when hunts are popular. It's just not my idea of fun.

Part of why I'm glad that Odin has his own instance now, I can finally fight him and feel like my contribution actually matters more than getting my licks in to get full credit.

And so it begins.....

And ppl will be like what? I haven't cleared t5 yet.
Yikes! Oh well :p i should take advantage of this before the nerfs happen again/ the community for hunting slows down om my server.

And I'll be sitting on a nearby cliff in {currently Hunt crazed zone}, sipping coffee and enjoying the inevitable rage.

I can attest to this. Nothing like setting up a PF for a hunt in one zone only to have SEVEN people join and tell us to go elsewhere and leave.

Not much point in me going elsewhere, it'd be dead by the time I got there or never load. Now I'll be back to just getting my weekly B-rank.

I'm hoping there is a limit on how many coat/twine you can get through hunts in a week, but knowing SE there won't be. To add insult to injury they'll limit you to one a week from WoD, meanwhile people will be getting 5 a day from hunts.

Reviving hunts = good.
Making hunts THE BEST WAY to gear up = not good.

No need to bother adding new dungeons, raids, trials, etc. The entire population will be chasing piss-easy marks, and screaming angrily at each other in process, for at least the next 2 months.

Exactly. Making easy-peasy hunts the best (=ONLY) way to gear up properly is utter bs. It was like that back in the days hunts got introduced, its still like that.

which is why I hope SE learned there lesson the last time. I don't mind hunting, its something to do, and thats the reason I play games (distraction) but the last round of hunts killed a lot of viable content because "why do X when you can gear up through hunts?"
