If this is true restoring power may not be so simple as replacing a break/switch/fuse if it's one the power company's end. It could take anywhere between minutes to days if it's a major failure.

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with the North American/European data center wherein players are unable to log into several Worlds on FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.
Additionally, we are also experiencing technical difficulties with several North American/European Data Center Worlds wherein players are disconnected from certain instances and unable to log back in.

The issue is being investigated and addressed, and new updates will follow as additional information becomes available.
