Hum.. maybe Viera? And I've a friend who despite their uncertainties would take the game up like a shot in the event Burmecians were implemented >.>

Certainly, I'd prefer they look at the Final Fantasy bestiary first, or so.

The Viera would be amazing. Never played XII but they were my favorite race in Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced. More "spiritual" race than the others from what classes they were able to play as. Also were great fencers.

I would trade my soul for playable Goblin.
