Dev silence about SMN

Wait til expansion . . .?

Another SMN thread lol. There should just be 1 supermassive complaint thread about SMNs. (I am guilty of one thread too lol)

The only issues SMNs are having is in Final Coil, no? If so, then tweaking it for that small of a percentage who raid in final coil isn't as easy as it seems some think it is.

If that is their plan, wouldn't them saying so make it easier? Even if it was just a simple, "We have plans for SMN, please wait for expansion" or something..

They said they plan on making changes to skill speed and spell speed, patch 2.4 they load you up with skill speed . . . big indicator to me. Just gotta wait and see.

I don't think they are ignoring the smn players. They just don't have anything to reveal as of yet.

^Agreed. Though when people called for DRG changes we at least got a "we're looking into it". As far as I know nothing has been directly addressed regarding SMN, only the reference to gear having Skill Speed. I mean, gear isn't really the bigger issue. Every job is going to change somehow come Heavensward though, they could be stalling till then, though I like to think that we'll get something soon.

Well this hasn't been an issue until FCoB. In fact before that it was just a couple of people complaining that Summoner didn't feel summon~y enough. Also you my be correct that Tanaka's FFXIV didn't want a pet job but once Yoshi-P took over it was all bets are off.

Which is probably why SMN will be getting a few adjustments anywhere from 2.5 to 3.0. They've already adjusted almost all the classes based on Coil, so it's SMN's turn.

SMN was uber compared to BLM in 2nd coil (before blm buff), now BLM is uber in final Coil.
That's how SE balanced jobs it seems ... :D
