While it would be nice I kinda understand why it's not in (yet)...
There's a bit more to inverting hairstyles than just that. Someone would have to go in and make sure there are no clipping issues, etc. Not saying it can't happen but the amount of effort required is almost the same as adding new hairstyles.
Though for all we know someone IS working on it and they're just saving it for a big update.

Why this isn't already a thing is my confounding question for the day.
I don't know if this would be tricky at all tech wise. (I don't assume it would be but it's not like I have access to SE source code.) But it would be really nice to have.
Heck I wouldn't mind being able to do this for my gear either, even if it was all or nothing. Especially for head pieces like eye patches/monacles etc.
