Legitimate Concern - the Au Ra & Clipping

The one helmet that I think might get severe clipping issues is the Moogle helmet I have glamoured, unless they have already made an Au Ra version for it :). Maybe the design team has been working hard to get all the gear to fit the Au Ra now. That would be awesome to see :D.

Get used to clipping. It's amazing how the Crystal Tools engine, that isn't suited for MMOs, handles clipping better than an engine strictly designed for one game. Look at FFXIII/XIII-2 (pay attention to sarah's and Yule's hair movement) and notice how..it actually reacts to objects and body parts properly rather than forgetting it exist like in ARR.

There is already a great deal of clipping in the game currently. For instance my Mi'qote is being stabbed through the face with that shoulder piece from mnks sold body. Same goes for Au Ra. I think most of it wont be an issue but I'm sure a significant amount will make it through to the expansion. Just my opinion.

To be honest, I'm not worried about it too much. The helmets will likely work similar to the way they do for Miqo'te or maybe they won't give Au'Ra helmets and they will get bands or decorations for their horns, though that seems unlikely.

Yeah that would take actual attention to detail and care for clipping...highly doubt they'll do it. The only reason it does it for Miqote and Elezen and Lalafell is because in 1.0 it already did it, so them reusing 1.x's asset gave them the benefit of the doubt basically. So unless they're overhauling the graphics system, expect massive clipping So far it didn't clip with Yugiri because she's a mannequin as the actual race doesn't exist model wise in XIV yet (so they can create one unique set of armor to properly mold around her.)

It's just super ugly. Considering the cost of the extension, you might think that developers mock us...

the clipping doesnt bother, it's just that the horns just look weird in a most head gear in my oppinion
