Do tanks always rush?

You are describing a jerk. The process to determine if people want a speedrun or not is extremely complicated, so I made a macro to help out some of the filthy casuals who stuggle with these complex rotations.

Speed Run Macro:

/p Speed run?



If the healer and 1 DPS says "yes" or some variation of that, you can go ahead and pull multiple groups.

If the healer says "no" or some variation of that, no speed run for joo.

I don't mind speed run at all , i get irritated when tank pulls the whole zone and never pops a single CD and I get blamed for not healing the tank.

Can't be bothered to wait for single protect or stone skin that's the tanks fault but NO tanks and dps tend to blame it on healer , met so many rubbish players doing this crap I've switched to dps and quit playing healer for DF .

Nothing wrong with this game it's the people you deal with at DF giving me unwanted ulcer for being stupid with the rush rush crap

And most tanks in the OP's description fit that label of jerk... You are only stating what I've already said with ASKING your team which they prefer...

I've been on many end of this topic just last night alone. I entered snowcloak with a tank who probably needed to shit in-game because the moment the lockout circle disappeared, he was already at the corner where the spriggans were while I was casting protect and stoneskin. The DD did not even follow him. Needless to say he died and called me a noob. I laughed both LOL in chat and IRL, then I asked him: Do you go diving without your diving gear? Then I said Then don't go into a fight without protection. Simple as that. Both DD LOL'd and the tank was silent.

Again in Qarn HM, I was SCH. This tank could not take a hit for the life of me. He blamed me for his bare bones minimum required ilvl gear (which was a mix of DD and healer accessories). I laughed once again and did not even mention anything until he died in the cactuar fight, he could not survive the damage from holding hate on the adds, both DD said it all about his gear and we abandoned the dungeon, because he could not survive that fight. Actually the Dragoon had higher life than the tank.

I could go on, but the list is long man...

With DF I know it's a gamble, but it's not your fault if they can't play their role correctly. You let them die if they think they are made of more than cardboard by not using their CDs for super pulls. Simple solution, live and learn. Your MP is their life line.

In all honesty, as a Paladin I've let more than one DPS die because they ran ahead of me. Even the Healers start refusing to rez them when they're 5 packs ahead of the Tank. The basic Idea of a team, no faster than the tank but no slower than the healer.

As a tank I usually look at the healer and dps before deciding how fast I go.

If the healer is geared, and dps consists of a blm, brd, smn or even drg sometimes I tend to pull quite a bit. Otherwise I do single pulls. Reason being if you got single target dps then they're gonna single target dps. You pull fewer and the healer can help dps instead of having to heal you for longer fights.

Thats how I do it anyways.

You don't count as you're an actual tank that looks at those things :p Therefore, you're a good tank. lol.

We are talking about the floating suit of armor that gravitates towards the end boss expecting the healer to heal them all the way there with no trouble...

running ahead to stick aero on a mob and expecting the tank to rush to your side and pull all the hate.
