Instead they will give you the Ultra Orb ... but it has no color!

Crystals for dying the Ultra Orb to the right shade for your relic come from $1 gachapon capsules available via the cash shop. Of course like all gachapon stuff, it's random ...

And that's only if you get a dying crystal! You might also get a miniscule amount of Gil, a random vanity item you already have, a random vanity item you didn't want or care about, or a random crafting item that you could easily have gathered on your own.

What about XI and its variety of content? Actual stats on weapons? Content that actually benefits you as you work on an ultimate weapon? Playing as a monster and having an alliance of players trying to beat you? Varied jobs? XIV has worse grinds than XI, actually, especially these days lol because 'token' system grinds tend to specifically be grinding for artificial extension of content life.

Not sure how many players actually completed an "afterglow" weapon, but probably not a lot...
