As someone already said.... How about not joining either side? I know it's a very novel idea but, frankly, the both options you mentioned are as rotten as they get.

Someone has no life because they're spending a trivial amount of money they probably worked for for something they enjoy, while the people who are making a big deal about the matter or that it's too expensive sit around complaining all day?

Or you can just buy the dyes, buy or craft some popular clothes, dye them and sell them for lots of gils and there you go, SE approuved RMT...

And if the OP is serious about spending money to spite people, I'm really sorry that you think people really care that much about who uses the cash shop. That's about as bad as believing that the cashiers at the grocery store think bad of you because you buy junk food.
