That would be really nice. I never intended to make it seem like it should be exclusive to eternal bond. I just meant it's common sense to be able to share a house with someone you marry. I'm sure if they did add this, that a roomate system would not be far off. I feel as if one of the best things about housing is being able to share and show it to others, so it would make it a lot more interesting for both the owner and the people that want to live there. I'm not sure about rooms, since they are expensive and anyone can just get one in a FC. I want to share the entire house, not one room of it, but I definitely understand where you are coming from with that.
Since they have decided not to add anymore land plots, it's not fair to most players to leave them homeless in the world. They say they plan to work on things within the house, so this should be the first thing they do before adding anymore content to housing in my opinion.
The reasoning behind the ring drops was because it would make home owners actually care who they marry instead of just whoring themselves out to make gil to either make up gil for or buy a house. I know it is just a game but I don't see what these people are doing as a good thing. It's not far off from RMT. "I pay $40 in real life to get you to pay me 50 million gil in game to marry you." I feel like there should be consequences for divorce that include something substantial to limit this nonsense. So that was my reason behind the dual-ownership thing. If my husband bought a house, it would be silly to exclude me from the house and all rights to it other than as a guest that can use the facilities. I want to own it with him, as a couple to share. That means it's his too, and in the event of a divorce both of us should have some say about what happens to it as well as all the furniture most likely crafted/collected together. I just want to be able to share really. :(
