Having Some International Issues in the SE Store

Doesn't always work. I am currently in Europe and use a VPN, to purchase things and to make server changes don't work. With or without VPN on. I had to call CS and they were able to do it for me. Their verification is definitely not the best. Always been that way though. Not only IP based but has to match exactly on what is on file information wise.

I'll prolly have to do that, though I'd end up with in-game moogle minion and not her but at least she would get the plush. Moogles are her favorite thing in FF14 so even just the plush would make her happy. Customer support for the SE store said as much as i figured. They can't just magically go around their security features lolz

Eh if it's illegal I don't want to try it. I never played a game before where buying or gifting something internationally was a problem though lolz

That gave me an idea to try and i messed around a lot with my profiles billing/shipping info to see if it could process that way but instead she gets errors before even trying to process the payment that way or just the same errors when trying to process the payment. I haven't given up entirely but i'm going to contact my bank over this and see if the rejection is coming from their end to at least try and eliminate possibilities.

Its not userfriendly but you can bypass both, just not as simple as it should be...

Proxy against the first problem, but VPN is better because security with your login account. Profile edit against the secund problem and you can send her the item...

if using a VPN to get around it is illegal like an above poster mentioned it may i don't want to try it. And from my limited understanding of technical stuff proxies aren't safe and i'd rather not put sensitive info like my bank info into an insecure connection.

Give her the money to buy it. There's no reason to bash your head against a website when you can just send her the cash and she can buy it for herself

AT first i thought you pointed out something we obviously missed (and you did), but it still didn't work out. My bank (Skylight) issued to employees where I work only allows fund transfers to other Skylight cards or NetSpend users. Though I guess I could set up something with an actual bank and not my work visa.

How about a prepaid Amex or something, bought from a store with your debit card? :)

1) Log into Paypal
2) Transfer money from one paypal account to the another
3)....
4) Winner

The minion comes via a code that comes with the moogle. I'm pretty sure the codes are not region locked (at least if I go by the fact that my instructions to get the wind-up Dalamud from the one soundtrack were in Japanese).

Just a warning, if you do end up ordering it from the US store and shipping it to her there is a chance they will charge her an additional 30 or so euro upon arrival. I also live in the Netherlands and I've had this happen to me when a friend bought the first moogle plushie for me. Border control opened the package to check the content and charged me for it. Also I don't know if you noticed this but the european store link says the plushie is currently sold out and you're actually pre ordering it for when it comes back in stock, which is spring 2015.

I'd contact support first for confirmation but it's something to try if the paypal thing fails.

Thanks for the info everyone. This has been delayed till sometime next week but either way this will be my last post here succeed or not. If it fails we'll just find something easier for me to get her, prolly in game lol.
