It could end up like a FFXIV version of Quicksand caves, perhaps some people survived and evolved to a new type of beastmen that live in the ruins of Sil'dah, just somthing i thought of for possible lore if they did make Sil'dah as a zone

I'm holding out to see the third brother:
Ta'Dah!
I noticed this last night thinking, "Oooh!" And as soon as I saw a spoiler on this thread, skipped the rest and decided I must learn of it meself.
There's also mention from a Roegadyn in Limsa of a region somewhere far east of Eorzea run by a group of ruling houses. Capital city's name starts with an R I think.
There are plenty of things that could happen and zones that could pop up thanks to the game's lore. I'm sure we'll see more of it all eventually.
Sil`dah reminds me more of Kishgal from Ys fame rather than Quicksand Caves or Garden of Ru`Hemet.
Correct. You're referring to Thavnair and its capital city of Radz-at-Han, which is to the east, across the Sea of Jade. There's also Meracydia to the south, across the Sea of Ash, which is apparently a very tribal region, with heavy voodoo influences.

Not to mention Limsa's own Admiral discovered a route to the western continent across the Indigo Deep.

What unlike XI? In 2002 we heard about an island nation of Kazham and surrounding areas, in 2003 we got said land. In 2003 we heard about a near eastern empire, in 2004 we had an "official" from there, whom is the first Blue Mage to appear in the middlelands where you acquire your Homam/Nashira set from through the middleman. in 2006 we got said near eastern lands.
So we actually seen most of the world that was in XI's active storyline -- The only exception is the Mithran homeland and far east which is a warzone, the rest of the stuff (Western lands, Orc/Gigas homeland) were lore stuff dating before XI's release and Tribune material. So if XI's example is to be followed, we'll see quite a bit of of these lands, XIV is still only in it's vanilla stage, we've yet to get even our first expansion which could open the world a lot for all anyone can guess.
The main reason we didn't get to see certain things in XI is because 10 years later, it's likely not profitable to create more full expansion packs.
