Dragoon buffs and Ninja nerfs coming Dec 9th in patch 2.45

the funniest part is, when they buffed heavy thrust from 10% to 15% back in 2.1, they said it was to make the more skilled players stand out, where is that logic now, now any fresh 50 can just ignore positionals and no almost as much as a drg with optimal rotation? sounds rather stupid to me, especially considering the problem is the truly skilled dragoons out there arnt able to keep up with equally skilled and geared monks or ninjas.

Nerfs can be fine. If, say, they never nerfed BRD as they were in 2.0, we'd still be using melee BRD BRD caster comps unless they had buffed every other class, which is infinitely more complex and silly.

NIN doesn't need a significant nerf but if it did a couple percentage less DPS it'd be still be viable. TP definitely needs to get looked at, it ignores the rules every other TP user does.

Well that's just splendid. I took a break from the game, come back when I heard about Ninja, and waited for it to be released. Power leveled it as soon as I got it and started to really enjoy the game again. I got plenty of this sort of BS from ME3...et tu Square, et tu...

I personally don't see the need to nerf it's damage output though, it's lower than mnk with the same level of utility imo. Ninja isn't over powered, dragoon was just under powered. Also, I think their better TP usage is fine. I mean it gives tp with goad which can't be cast on themselves, so I think it's fair they manage their own tp better. Plus if we say every like-class has to follow the same rules for resource management, than BLM vs SMN is also unfair.

First patch that im not happy with really,
I was really happy whn NIN came out coz iv been always playing roughe-like class, becouse i play on EU server my DPS is dropping every time im casting mudras (vdeo of my ussuall mudra speed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8tUyGyxPzE and im struggling everytime to keep it up with my DRG/MNK buddies, iv never felt NIN is OP nor i saw diffirence between DPS of our meeles, sometimes im on top and sometimes other is on top.

It makes me sad to see NIN is now even worse for people with lower ping.
On top of that they said they look into mudra lag, but its not something they be looking into immadietly.
I guess ill be waiting for these EU datacenters

How can you people complain about them nerfing an obvious OP job? I'm not just basing this on some high potency abilities or something, because it has been proved by now that they have the same or higher DPS than MNK if played right, and on top of that they have Trick Attack, which is a huge increase in raids DPS... On top of that, they have similar burst damage capabilities as DRG, and don't have the problems with stacks like MNK. They are unstoppable in other words...

You make it sound like they will be useless now, while we don't even know how big of a nerf it's going to be. They said that they didn't expect people to use the rotation that is used right now, and players are producing higher DPS because of that. I don't know what rotation they expected, but it can't be that far behind the ones we use now, so I expect them to be just behind MNK in DPS, and make up for it with their Trick Attack and Burst.

If they could just buff DRG up to NIN's level instead of nerfing, then that would be better, but they would then have to buff MNK too... Because NIN is slightly unbalanced compared to MNK too.

Y'know, this is the second time I've really had to question SE's play testers. This is the same group that was apparently surprised when PLD could survive in BCoB by popping CDs.

As someone who mains NIN in final coil, I am fine with the nerfs so long as the buffs dragoons receive is equal to or greater than the damage I am losing. Anyone saying NIN damage is okay needs to get real. They do near MNK damage with trick attack, which is a ridiculous damage boost to 6 people (at minimum) every 60~70 seconds. TP changes, I do not know why they are doing that, maybe adding a TP cost to trick attack/sneak attack, who knows.

That's true, it could be... extremely small +potency. I doubt it, but it's possible. We shall see.
