They did say that another hero was gonna visit soon to Eorzea for vanity stuff like Lightning, so maybe it'll be Terra with a VI magitek mount? Hell it could be Biggs and Wedge who were sent to supposedly oblivion by Valigarmanda. Maybe I'm still tired but could be a chance if there is a hint of truth to that post.

Apparently there was some issue with the rights to the song because Nobuo Uematsu is no longer attached to the project. I'm not sure how true this is, especially since another song from the same game makes an appearance in 2.4, but copyright is a very tricky thing in general so who knows. There's a reason there have to be lawyers who specifically specialize in copyright law.
It would also explain the lack of transparency since the CMs legally can't comment on something involving lawyers and contracts (or if they can, it's better that they don't)

Because Ultros and Typhon are both FFVI bosses. Same exact characters.

Their argument is that this is supposed to be a totally different Magitek armor, which is...kind of weak because it's so blatant where the armor design comes from, and they already went through the trouble of making a remix tune for that one trailer.

I don't think anyone would complain that this ruins the unique qualities of Eorzea if they threw it in, especially since the Crystal Tower is directly lifted from FFIII designs, and they didn't hold back from including music from FFIII for that while still trying to make it appear totally different lore-wise from FFIII's version. You don't see a ton of people complaining that this ruins the atmosphere.

Literally no good reason not to have this in the game already.
