History of the Gunner job.

People saying that there is not much they can do to differiense ARC with MSK in my mind they are wrong. ARC is a no combo range attacker with piercing dmn while MSK they could make it a combo oriented range blunt dmg that could benefit for MNK Dragon Kick debuff. They can have some debuff to lower target defence/mag. defence and a bunch of stuff. We know that the animations been there since 1.0 and within the NPC.

Chemist would be a perfect healer, engineers might be a bit tricky but a decent ranged dps, and mediator... a support (but supports can't come in FFxiv cuz reasons)

Possible Classes or Characters to reference for Musketeer
- Barret from VII (Gun Hand).
- Vincent from VII and Dirge of Cerberus (Pistols, Shotguns, and Rifles).
- Irving (mainly shotgun, uses a sniper once) and Laguna (machine gun and grenades in the main game, and a sniper rifle, shotgun, bazooka, mines, laser, and kill-satellite in Dissidia) from VIII
- Gunner (dual pistols), Gun Mage (magical pistols/scanners), and Alchemist (burst rifle) from X-2.
- Corsair, Rangers, and Thieves from XI (Flintlocks and Hexaguns)
- Characters from XII (Balthier's cannon weapon, even though he was one of the worst to use them)
- Machinists from the International Zodiac Job System version.
- Sahz (duel pistols that can merge into an automatic rifle) from XIII
- Mustadio/Machinists from Tactics, along side Sky Pirates (Balthier's special class), Chemists, Orators, and Onion Knights (most likely not Onion Knights)
- Gunners/Fusiliers and Al Cid the Agent (guns), Flintlocks and Cannoneers (cannons), from the Tactics A series
- King (dual pistols) and Carter (magicite pistol)from Type-0
- Kaze from Unlimited (The Magun, which allows for summoning)

*I excluded gun blades from this list. :B

Jokes aside, I'd love it if it was a healer gun mage or alchemist ala FFX-2 xD

Though I consider it unlikely, I did realize that Gun Mage would be an unorthodox way to include a Blue Mage, possibly with some explanation in the lore to explain monster skills without having it unbalance things. I kind of doubt it though, it's an immensely odd one-off to do, and Blue Mage, while plausible as a healer, is very odd.

I have a feeling we might actually get 3 jobs in 3.0... DRK ofc, and then 2 jobs for the Musketeer class.

Musketeer is going to be in the game, that I'm almost certain of, so why didn't they release that instead of Rogue? Probably cause they wanted extra time to make something special with it, which tells me we will get a gun wielding support job... That might be it, but I still keep my hopes up that they wanted to wait, so that they could make 2 new jobs based on Muskateer, and make them different enough. 10 more levels could make that easier.

Class: Musketeer
Job(s): If one, gun wielding healer. If two, gun wielding healer + gun wielding DPS

At least I really hope they release a DPS like that... Ninja is fun and all, but IMO FFXIV lacks something with the ranged DPS. BRD is too simple IMO, and they are more focused on utility than DPS.

Will this job even get a class is my question. I mean, DRK isn't.
