An Idea for a Dungeon/Notorious Monster in Mor Dhona

I think it would be a bad idea for now. I wouldn't make much until after the revamp and the story can be explained fully. Right now all focus should be on the revamp and especially the low to midlevel ranges. Little focus should be on the existing base; especially those of us at level cap - we don't matter at all in the grand scheme of things except for the crafters.

Also, it's an airship, not a tower.

Force pop. Have a few lesser NMs around Mor Dhona that drop the necessary items to spawn a larger, more difficult monster with a better drop rate.

In a sadistic sort of way part of me hopes that in the future they turn this into a flying NM that prowls over the area ready to swoop down and eat your face if you get too close (i.e. walk underneath or close under its flight path). A bit like that Wyrm they put in Xarc [S] and Abyssea for FFXI.

The casual yelling about no 24hr spawn NMS is as bad as the Hardcores yelling about removing every way to solo in the game because it hurts partying.

You want the game to be accepted by everyone have things for everyone.

Have the 24hr rare spawn nms and have other outlets like instances dungeons which also can drop the Exact same armor.

So those what to camp something can, and those who want a non-competition way of getting can do it that way as well.

The whole King and Einherjar thing in XI. Both dropped the same gear 1 was heavily camped 1 was instanced. (there you go stuff for both groups, without excluding anyone from anything... should make everyone happy.)

And before the "that will make people bot" argument... people are already doing that like crazy so that point is moot honestly.

I would be 100% OK with that concept. I am against exclusive HNM gears on 24-72 hrs repop but if they could be obtained by other means, maybe equally difficult in a different way, then sure if it pleases some to camp HNM I have no problem with that.

I see a lot of people being okay with 24 hour Notorious monster spawns IF there is another way to get that piece of equipment that it drops.

Rather than giving the people who don't want to camp the 24 hour notorious monster the same gear, give them a different gear piece of equal value. In FFXI you had Dynamis, Sky, HNMs (the ones you had to wait forever for), salvage, einherjar, assault, sea and more. All of these targeted a different audience, whether you're a "hardcore" or "casual" player you had your options. Rather than making it possible to get a dalmatica from each one, they gave alternative pieces that were good in their own ways.

I know this is kind of one of those "Do what FFXI did" suggestions but I think this is how it should be. So casual players get their gear and hardcores get their gear, and now there's a visible difference yet both are good players and not being really left out.
