RNG? Is that an abbreviation of "range" or does it stand for "random number generation"? Either way, I've crafted tons of cotton cloth yet have never had a consistent problem like this before. And like I said, I crafted (about half a stack) more cotton cloth after I finished the leve, and had no issues. And by "no issues," I mean I was able to hammer the standard synth button and never get below about 60-70 durability, and no destabilizations. I might have just been really unlucky, but the consistency of destabilization and failure for each synth in the leve was unusual.

RNG stands for random number generation~

As tymora mentioned lacking the required training skill can cause you to do a lot worse seemingly sudden, usually accompanied by unstable elements.
It doesnt effect your normal rate, but rather the chances of getting unstables, possibly also critical failures.
Hence why your seeing easy successes any time the training skill increased difficulty doesnt kick in.

the fish recipes with 1 crystal is 23 recipes, the ones who need 2 is 26 recipes. But you need the guild book for crystal transmuting. I am lvl 27 and still only get 25% of these ..

"With 1 crystal" means uses 1 lightning crystal? Or gives 1 crystal?

Fish to crystal recipes either ends with a 1 or a 5. (e.g. 1, 11, 21, 25, 31, 35, 41)
The only 25 recipes uses Miter Shell, and the only 35 recipe uses Blacklip Oyster (Someone in SE probably made a typo or something.)

And do you have chemicking?

Nether newt is a 26 recipe ..
