I don't care what you do but it still a valid principle. It is a principle of Economics of which this game does have an Economy. The fact that you want to ignore it is fine. You actually addressed it with your last post you wanted the item to be able to make HQ items for friends so its worth more to you than selling it would be which is perfectly valid

Other than the Offhand tool, don't bother. I can't think of any advantage other than a possibly higher melding ceiling.

I'd just wait for the price to go down.
