Make all mounts into Companions

Fun fact, that actually isn't true! The lore of the Bomb Palanquin actually states that it is made up of duds. They couldn't self-destruct even if they wanted to.

TBH, as long as it doesnt break the Gold rule of P2W, i dont see why you cant have npc companions like a thancred whistle >.>

If the mounts can become companion like chocobo aka being able to tank, heal or dps, then this will bring the wrath of the anti-p2w club on SE. I think this will only work if they exclude the mounts from cash shop and only make mounts obtainable from the game into companions.

Which is a shame, since I love Sleipnir, its my favourite mount and would make a awsome battle companion, but I can understand why some players would not like this.

Uh, why? How in the world is it P2W if paid for mounts are exactly the same as your free chocobo in terms of skills? If you can get the same skills for free and it's not even hard to get a companion chocobo, I really don't understand why it'd be a problem.

Plus you can't even use any other mounts until you've unlocked your GC chocobo.

I would love this!! The other mounts could be less customizable then the company chocobo as well.

Magitek Mount - Tank
Coeurl - DPS
Bomb Palanquin - Black Mage DPS
Goobbue - Healer

Things like that!

I'd really like to see them do something along these lines.

I would be fine if they all had the same skillsets (maybe just renamed), if we could use something other than our chocobos. I love my Etolie, but it would be fun to have a coeurl or flaming unicorn or such as your companion. Heck, even some of the minions would be fun to have out in battle. Wolf pup, baby behemoth, succubus minion...

No. Keep mounts as mounts - using the Company Chocobo as a companion as it is is already makes me feel like it's animal abuse sending him into battle to fight. Instead, as I've said repeatedly, bring back the Path Companions from version 1.0!

Its role will be dps... not tank. Think about it. The dmg it can throw out if you somehow make it charge into targets.
