You misunderstand what they mean by "save". They're referring to the fact the interior housing instances aren't left active on the server when no one is in them. While theoretically you could log out then log back in when someone else is in the house, there's a chance there might NOT be anyone and you'd be trying to log in to an area that doesn't exist. I suppose they could change this so the game would populate the instance when you log in but I imagine there's some issues there with the lobby server etc. The reason we could do it before was because initially they DID leave the instances active. They changed this to make more efficient use of their memory.
