*blink* You want to correct the imbalance by making the overall process take longer?
Nexus lights are fine. If you want to go crazy and live on Garuda's mountain, you can; you also get reasonable credit for doing things you would be doing anyway.
My only gripe is that the Dragon's Neck Trial gives feeble light as its base reward, which is not consistent with similar trials.
And? ST grinds for light are already pointless. It's much, much faster to grind HM primals. It's much easier to identify which primal is on bonus than it is to figure out which dungeon or whether ST is on bonus.
Even if the new dungeons were blinding/newborn star, they currently take long enough that it will STILL be faster to grind HM primals, but it would at least be closer. This isn't about making the grind shorter overall, it's about having more options. It seems like the new content is a good place to put that.
You know as well as I do that Square would never give easier content that much light. Relics have and always will be a massive grind sink.
I'm sad 2nd coil lights were nerfed, that's where I was planning on doing a lot of my light farming, while helping FC members get gear/clear turns. :\ I mean in theory it makes sense, full statics and the occasional good pug group can farm turns pretty easily I guess, but they are still a bit time consuming and a lot more stressful than grinding something like Garuda HM. It is VERY easy to wipe on 2nd coil. And when you're bringing in new or old returning players (AKA new), chances are you're not farming anyway.
Actually does anyone know if you also get bonus lights if there's someone in the group who hasn't cleared before? And does it seem like roulettes give bonus lights?
You don't seem to understand, as it is right now primals fights take less time to be completed and are more rewarding than dungeons, to the point that no one runs dungeons for light, only primals, boosting the light bonus of dungeons would only make it on par with trials.
