regardless of server issues, at least on Gilgamesh there are still lots of S plots empty -- 2 hrs after servers came up -- and Gilgamesh is one of the big servers. Make sure you check the second tab in the ward list. there are two lists for each ward now.

Leaving aside all the availability issues and login problem - does anyone find disturbing the fact that there are no Devaluation timers running on the new plots? Did we all suddenly become twice as "rich" since the last patch?? Most likely we "all" did if SE counts all those bots and cheating players not being banned after several months being reported every day by numerous players :( *SIGH*

This is pretty much as I expected.

What's sad is that Yoshi likely expected it too.

I really want housing, and I realize it's being worked on every patch, but I refuse to get up at the buttcrack of dawn and camp plots like they're Notorious Monsters. ._.

I guess I can wait until the hype goes down, whenever it does.

I see this still isn't sorted out. I haven't logged in, in weeks. Been playing another game, but that game is undergoing maintenance today so I thought, "Let's check out XIV and see if the housing\hunts\other nonsense has been addressed yet.

Nope. Sad.

So, just as an update, it is now 6:38 am EST for me as I'm typing this, and I just ran another check on Balmung. Each housing zone per server gets 160 total new small houses (20 small houses per ward x 8 ward subdivisions), for a grand total of 480 small houses added per server in this patch. As of right now on Balmung:

87/160 left in The Goblet.

12/160 left in the Lavender Beds.

5/160 left in Mist.

For a grand total of 104 small houses left out of 480. That means that 80% of all the small houses that they added were gobbled up by players only 2 hours and forty-five minutes after the servers went live "officially"; if we take into account the amount of time that Balmung was having technical difficulties and logon, then 80% were purchased by players 2 hours into patch. And I hope you like the Goblet, because that's what you're getting.

Even without the technical difficulties, they aren't meeting the demand for these houses on crowded servers. With the technical difficulties thrown in, the whole thing is just a frustrating debacle.

That's the cost of playing on a high pop server. No housing and I imagine your Hunt mobs melted away in milliseconds.
But hey at least you have tons of people to play with right?

It sucks but it's not like they lied about any of this, on some servers this is a massive issue. On mine and other smaller or mid-range servers? Not so much.

Except, that they kinda did. Oh they might not have lied about this particular issue, but they certainly led the players to believe that housing would be something completely separate from Free Company housing and that it would be much more accessible to everyone. Besides that, many of us are on legacy servers because, well, we are LEGACY players. We didn't want to have to leave our friends just because SE can't seem to get something right a second time.

For me, I did end up ultimately leaving. I'm just watching my days tick down, not logging in, and hoping beyond hope that YoshiP will post a proper apology with a roadmap of how he intends to address our grievances.

I hope you enjoy your microtransaction based mmo, because sir, that is the direction this game is heading.

Seems like the OP assumes there's going to be more land in the next patch.

There is no more land confirmed for next patch as far as we know at this point.
