Since Yoshida was wearing a James Bond shirt in the reveal for this gunner class, my guess is that it'll be called "Agent."
They've already used Agent as a job title before - Al-Cid Margrace was one in FF Tactics A2, and he used guns.
^
That's kinda where I was going with the Turks pictures from the OP.
What is does exactly is beyond me, but I'd be happy to see it as a DPS if it is indeed Agent.
This is my guess:
Class will be Musketeer (because the guild is still in Limsa and they've had plenty of time to remove it.)
Job will be Agent (because of the 007 shirt from EU Fan Fest and the way Yoshi-P posed in the motion of holding a single gun.)
I'm personally of the camp where this gun class will be a healer, but that's just me.
I just want to shoot my party members with enchanted healing bullets.
I could go either way as a healer or DPS and not lose too much sleep over it.
I got my Dark Knight and am just having some fun speculating what the gunner class and job will be :D
As a healer I could see an "Agent" using salves loaded into their pistols to reach their party members at ranged distances, but I must admit to not giving their role as a healer much thought.
What are your guesses and hopes as to how it could be a healer?
I don't have any specific skills and such in mind, but generally I can see them getting one or two low potency but instant-casting shots on the GCD, with a possible AoE heal that involves them shooting up into the sky (think Rain of Death but for healing). And I hate to pull ideas from other games but WoW and GW2 had abilities where healers could drop a totem/turret on the ground which would pulse heals or buffs or something. Perhaps these Agents could drop turrets, but it wouldn't be a huge part of their play style since a lot of this game involves running through dungeons and such, so it'd probably have the most use during bosses.
But yeah, I would assume their strengths would be in speedy heals and being able to reach party members at greater distances than WHM and SCH.
I just had a thought!
If the job we're getting is Agent, and Hildebrand is an Agent (of Inquiry) then....
Agent of Inquiry Job confirmed!!!
