Should Archer new Job be healing though Singing?

What I would have done is:

- Add a new Ranged DPS that comes from the Archer. Call it Ranger.
- Give the Ranger all the dps skills of the Bard.
- Ranger has crossbows + handbow.
- Bard keeps the bow with harp combo.
- Remake Bard with prior and new buff + healing spells.
- Bard keeps support LB and Ranger gets a attack LB.

Everyone is happy WIN/WIN.

Nay - I hope they eliminate starting classes all together moving forward. Even with the stat reset item being changed to 250 seals instead of 10,000 I would prefer that all jobs are completely unique and do not share abilities. In my opinion forcing 2 jobs to share all but 5 abilities is a bad idea, it forces you to essentially use most of the same abilities on more than one job which feels lazy and uninspired to me. That's just my opinion about the whole class/job thing.

I'm personally hyped that agent may be the next healer class, a gun healer seems pretty neat to me and I am willing to bet that whatever it is will not have a starting class, just like DRK won't, and that makes me very happy.

Bards already have a healing song that is to be learned. Every people who leveled bard should know that

The only names that came to me was song maiden, Harpy, and siren. Musician sounds like someone that uses a instrument. But that's just me. :P

Honestly Dancer feels like a evasive tank or a buff job. But it would be funny seeing a dancer build agro with tambourines.

This is assuming it will even work this way. They've said before the way Summoner and archanist work is going to be revisited and then recently DRK comes out without a class at all. 3.0 could mean it won't work this way every again.

Shooting someone to heal them is a weird idea. It sound like someone was drunk when they was thinking up a healer.

I'd really like a complete overhaul of Bard. Get rid of all of its arbitrary ranged attack skills, give them to a new Ranger class, and then reinvent bard as the support class it's supposed to be.
